Pastor John Moktan
LEAD PASTOR
Ps John Tamang was born on May 5, 1982 in Dagana, Bhutan. He was raised in aBuddhist family. At the age of eleven, he and his family moved to Nepal and lived there for 17 years as refugees in a camp in Nepal. He and his dear wife, Ash Tamang, have been married since March of 2000 in Nepal. They are the proud parents of two children, Aakash and Anita, who have been supporting them in ministry. He worked as a house constructor for over ten years.
Finally, the Almighty God opened the doors to Canada in 2009. Ps John and his family moved to Canada in April of 2009. They started their journey of faith by attending a Jehovah Witness’ church. Few years later, Ps John had a vison. He received a bible verse from Jesus, John chapter 14 verse 6.
Ps John and his family accepted Jesus Christ in 2010, in Joliette, Québec Canada. Ps John became a worship leader for UNITED PENTECOSTAL CHURCH working with Ps Paul Goley and Pastor Benzie. In 2013, Ps John was called for ministry and was anointed as an assistant pastor for United Pentecostal Church of Joliette, Quebec. He humbly let God lead his life. In 2014, God spoke to Ps John and led him to Ontario, where he started his own ministry. Ps John and his family moved to Windsor, Ontario on March 27, 2014. Ps John started his ministry very small, in his own apartment.
Currently, Ps John is the lead Pastor of Emmanuel Nepalese Church of Windsor, serving full- time, while also working a full-time job to support his family.
